Product Features
Connect fibre equipment with this OM3 duplex patch lead, terminated ST-ST and built on laser-optimised 50 micron multimode (50/125) fibre. One fibre carries the transmit signal and the other the receive signal, the arrangement used by almost all fibre transceivers. It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 300 metres and 40/100 Gigabit (parallel optics) up to 100 metres. OM3 is a dependable all-rounder for server rooms, comms cabinets and building backbones, and works with OM4 links as both use a 50 micron core.
ST uses a round bayonet twist-lock, still found on many established fibre installations on both ends. Aqua is the standard jacket colour for laser-optimised multimode fibre.
