Connect fibre equipment with this OM4 duplex patch lead, terminated LC-ST and built on high-bandwidth 50 micron multimode (50/125) fibre. One fibre carries the transmit signal and the other the receive signal, the arrangement used by almost all fibre transceivers. It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 400 metres and 40/100 Gigabit up to 150 metres. OM4 is the usual pick for new data centre and server room cabling, and is fully compatible with OM3 equipment and patch panels.
LC is the small push-and-click connector found on SFP and SFP+ transceivers, modern switches and high-density patch panels. ST uses a round bayonet twist-lock, still found on many established fibre installations. This lead joins the two types without a separate adapter. Aqua is the standard jacket colour for laser-optimised multimode fibre.
