OM3 LC-ST Multimode Duplex Fibre Patch Lead, 5m, Aqua

Connect fibre equipment with this OM3 duplex patch lead, terminated LC-ST and built on laser-optimised 50 micron multimode (50/125) fibre. Duplex means two fibres side by side: one to send and one to receive, which is what switch and media converter ports expect. It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 300 metres and 40/100 Gigabit (parallel optics) up to 100 metres. OM3 is a dependable all-rounder for server rooms, comms cabinets and building backbones, and works with OM4 links as both use a 50 micron core.

LC is the small push-and-click connector found on SFP and SFP+ transceivers, modern switches and high-density patch panels. ST uses a round bayonet twist-lock, still found on many established fibre installations. This lead joins the two types without a separate adapter. Aqua is the standard jacket colour for laser-optimised multimode fibre. Orange and Violet jackets are handy for colour-coding separate systems or customers in a shared rack.
