OM4 LC-LC Multimode Duplex Fibre Patch Lead, 10m, Erika Violet

A duplex OM4 fibre lead with LC-LC connectors, made with high-bandwidth 50 micron multimode (50/125) fibre. One fibre carries the transmit signal and the other the receive signal, the arrangement used by almost all fibre transceivers. It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 400 metres and 40/100 Gigabit up to 150 metres. OM4 is the usual pick for new data centre and server room cabling, and is fully compatible with OM3 equipment and patch panels.

LC is the small push-and-click connector found on SFP and SFP+ transceivers, modern switches and high-density patch panels on both ends. Aqua is the standard jacket colour for laser-optimised multimode fibre. Erika violet (sometimes called heather violet) is widely used in the UK and Europe to mark OM4 fibre. Orange and Pink and Red jackets are handy for colour-coding separate systems or customers in a shared rack.
