Product description

OS2 LC-ST Single Mode Duplex Fibre Patch Lead, 3m, Yellow
Length: 3m · Colour: Yellow

A duplex OS2 fibre lead with LC-ST connectors, made with 9 micron single mode (9/125) fibre. One fibre carries the transmit signal and the other the receive signal, the arrangement used by almost all fibre transceivers. It supports 1, 10, 25 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet over distances measured in kilometres, depending on the transceivers used. Single mode fibre links buildings across a campus, connects to carrier and ISP equipment, and is the standard for FTTP and long backbone runs.

LC is the small push-and-click connector found on SFP and SFP+ transceivers, modern switches and high-density patch panels. ST uses a round bayonet twist-lock, still found on many established fibre installations. This lead joins the two types without a separate adapter. Yellow is the standard jacket colour for single mode fibre.

  • LC to ST connectors
