CAT8 patch leads for the fastest copper Ethernet links: 25 and 40 Gigabit over runs of up to 30m, with fully shielded S/FTP cable and standard RJ45 plugs.
There is one option in 10m Black CAT8 Network Cables, priced at £18.60 inc VAT. All of these are 10m in length.
CAT8 is made for short, very fast links inside a server room or data cabinet, such as a switch to a server or a storage array. For desks, home networks and long runs back to a patch panel, CAT6A already carries 10 Gigabit up to 100m.
CAT8 reaches its full 25 and 40 Gigabit speeds over links of up to 30m in total, including any patch leads at each end.
Every lead here is S/FTP, with foil around each pair and a braid around the whole cable. To get the most from the screening, plug it into shielded ports and patch panels that are earthed.
